Hi everyone, I’m Mark from hot d and I’ve made this video for you today to talk to you a little bit about what is a hair replacement system.

So there’s a couple of treatments that we offer at hot d one of them being hair replacement systems. So, some of you might know hair replacement systems under their old terminology wigs or toupes. The systems now have come forward leaps and bounds in technology to how they were in the past. Some of the technologies are still used and we’ve got some great systems out there.

So what is a hair replacement system? Well, it’s a way of us giving you a full head of hair that doesn’t require any kind of surgical intervention it’s an instant result and guaranteed. So that’s a that’s a great thing!

So the hair replacement system is a system, we have a, a go-to system, which is a polymorph skin with the hair threaded through it, in a V and then it’s knotted to give it some extra strength. There are various different levels of strength and durability you can have to hair systems. We find this particular one for a price point and everything, we get brilliant results from. That’s then knotted, say to stop the hair from coming out.

When the systems first arrive, they arrive like this. They arrive on like a plastic base in a net just to keep the system for shipping.

If we take that net off, we can see the hair is fairly curly. What we do is we wet this down and then straighten that out, and that gives us loads of movement. This is a piece of a system that has been kind of removed from the netting. That hair’s like five to six inches long. We can see the skin base there.

So that hair is looped through there and then tied. The hair replacement system goes onto the scalp, so we have to shave the scalp back to an area where the hair is thickest on the sides. We want that to be as long as possible as well. We need about an inch and a half to blend into the hair.

We then shave the head, we clean the head, then we treat the head with a scalp protector. And we’ve put another thing on there to give the glue a bonding, and then we glue that system on there and we can expect that glue to hold fast for two to four weeks, maybe a little bit longer.

Hair replacement systems, it’s a way of us regaining hair, we regain control and confidence of our lives and getting that full head of hair look. The styles can be done in various different ways. We can do most different styles depending on how much hair you’ve got on the sides and where we’ve had to fit that system, uh, onto there.
