Mark

Mark is a barber with enough industry experience under his belt to take care of all your grooming needs. Achieving level 3 in barbering and has many other certificates from additional education taken. He can carry out all hair and shaving services, also including colouring, perming and waxing. He has a relaxed attitude with professional outcomes and loves what he does. Using traditional and contemporary techniques he can get you the look you want. He is SafeTalk trained and can signpost to professional organizations for help. He loves owning the salon, ensuring that guests are looked after and getting value with a premium service.

Karen

Karen has years of industry experience as a top level stylist. She has a great personality and will work with you to get the look you want. She trained in oxford over 31 years ago in all aspects of hairdressing she has never left the industry after getting her level 1 and 2. She also has many certificates in colour and advance colour correction, advance cutting, fashion cutting and precision cutting as she believes in continuous training. With Karen’s experience comes knowledge in how you can best keep a salon look outside the salon. Speak with her about any of our retail products. Totally amazing hairdresser and human being.

Lauren

Lauren has been hairdressing for 8 years. She’s very passionate and precise with her work and is keen continue learning to develop new skills and techniques by taking courses and additional training. Lauren is a level 2 and 3 qualified hairdresser and has numerous certificates from other courses she has attended. She has a love for all aspects of hairdressing including perming, cutting and colouring. Appearing on stage at an international convention she shows her enthusiasm for the industry and doing well to get the best for her clients. She is Exactly what we stand for at Summer And Lola and it’s great to be working alongside her.

Jemma

Jemma has an amazing personality, bubbly and bright with a hint of sarcasm on occasion. She’s been hairdressing for 20 years and has a wealth of experience. She started her training at Toni & Guy where she completed her level 3 NVQ. She has also carried out training in a collage and is a qualified NVQ assessor in hairdressing. Jemma can carry out any hair service and is technically proficient at all of them having strength in colouring and cutting with professional technical ability. You will not be disappointed with anything she does for you.... she’s also fun to be around.

Louise has been in the hairdressing industry for over 35 years. In that time She has been involved within many different positions and worked in some of the best salons. She is also a hairdressing assessor and an consultant with City & Guilds as a writer and moderator, talk about experience within a team. She has a great personality that just makes you feel confident and relaxed. A strong person with a massive love for the industry and the diversity it offers. What better thing to do in life than teach the next generation of what they are capable of and give them knowledge to making people feel amazing when they sit in the chair.

Melissa

Melissa Is a young and vibrant stylist that is a great asset to our team. She thinks it is important to listen to client’s needs as this makes an enjoyable and satisfying salon experience. She also takes a keen interest in helping clients to manage their hair at home by advising on products and giving them tips to keep them going until their next salon appointment. She was fascinated to find out that her 5 x great grandfather was a hairdresser and owned a salon in Paris Street in Exeter. She always shows an interest in how others carry out services to see if there’s anything else she can add to her skill set as complete as it is.

Cheyenne

Cheyanne has been at Summer and Lola for over two years after completing basic training at a salon in Oxford. She is now an amazing young stylist. She likes to provide entertainment within the salon on occasion which helps create the nice vibe we try to maintain here. Cheyanne has amassed a great number of skills throughout her career and is always keen to learn more, she plays an massively important role within the team. She can carry out most services and her knowledge of aftercare is excellent, you really are in safe hands.

Abbie has already completed a comprehensive shop floor training program and is offering many barbering services. She is currently doing her NVQ in barbering which she would of completed in 2021. She is customer focused and has a strong technical ability with a good eye for hair. She has already done some amazing work and completed many assessments and exams. She is currently taking clients on and developing her skills. She is doing great.
